1. ABOUT THIS POLICY

1.1 House of Metals (“we”, “us”, “our”) designs, engineers, and manufactures metal products in India. Our registered office is at D-5, Site-A, Industrial Area, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, 281004 and our factory is at D-5, Site-A, Industrial Area, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, 281004.

1.2 This policy explains, in simple terms:

1.3 It covers our website House of Metals and everything you do with us — browsing, creating an account, asking for a quote, uploading a design, placing an order, or getting support.

1.4 Indian law (the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023) calls a company that decides how your data is used a Data Fiduciary, and calls you a Data Principal. In plain terms: we are responsible for your data, and you have rights over it. We use “we” and “you” throughout this policy.

2. WHO THIS POLICY IS FOR

This policy applies to:

  • Individual customers buying for their home, office, or as a gift

  • Business customers — architects, interior designers, builders, developers, hotels, restaurants, retail chains, corporate offices, dealers, distributors, OEM clients, institutions, and government bodies — and the people who work for them

  • Export buyers and their agents

  • Visitors who browse but don’t buy

  • Suppliers, transporters, and installation teams we work with

  • Job applicants

If you give us someone else’s details — a site contact, a delivery contact, or a gift recipient — please make sure they’re okay with it.

This policy does not cover other websites or marketplaces. If you buy our products on a marketplace, that marketplace’s privacy policy applies to whatever it collects.

3. WHAT WE COLLECT

3.1 Your personal details

  • Name and designation

  • Email address, phone number, and WhatsApp number

  • Billing address, delivery address, and site address

  • Account username and password (stored in scrambled form, so even we can’t read it)

  • Date of birth or anniversary, only if you choose to share it for gifting

  • What you write to us in enquiries, chats, and emails

3.2 Business details

  • Company name, address, and type of business

  • GSTIN, and PAN where the law requires it

  • Import Export Code (IEC), for export buyers

  • Dealer territory, credit limit, and trade terms

  • Purchase order numbers, project names, and site details

  • Names and contact details of your project team

  • Bank details, only where we need to send you a refund or payment

3.3 Files you upload

  • Artwork, logos, monograms, fonts, sketches, and reference images

  • CAD files, drawings, elevations, and site measurements

  • Site photos and videos

  • Specifications for size, material, and finish

  • Text for plaques, nameplates, and signage

  • Photos and videos you send to support a complaint

3.4 Order and payment details

  • Your orders, cart, wishlist, quotes, and invoices

  • Payment status, transaction reference, and payment method

  • Refund details

We never see or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN, net banking password, or OTP. Those go straight to our payment gateway, which is required to meet PCI-DSS security standards and Reserve Bank of India rules.

  • Your device, browser, and operating system

  • Which pages and products you looked at, what you searched for, and how long you stayed

  • Cookie information (explained in our Cookie Policy)

  • Order details from marketplaces and channel partners
